How We Do It

Advocacy

NYCALEM amplifies our members' voices to influence decision-makers and ensure our concerns are heard in policy and business discussions. We are committed to ensuring government and private sector stakeholders adhere to New York City Local Law 83 of 2021, which mandates that city agencies allocate at least 50% of their advertising budgets to ethnic and community media outlets. NYCALEM is dedicated to achieving equity in media representation and amplifying the voices of our diverse communities.

Technical Assistance

NYCALEM empowers local media organizations by connecting them to essential technical support and expert knowledge to thrive in today's challenging media landscape. We help our members to identify resources that enable them improve operations, expand audience reach, and build long-term sustainability.
